COVID-19 Mitigations
District 204 continues to follow local, state, and federal guidelines related to COVID-19 mitigations. For the 2022-23 school year, we will be moving our focus from contact tracing to infection control. While we will not be doing contact tracing in our schools, all positive and probable positive cases will be reported on the weekly dashboard on our website. If there are significant increases in a building, we will communicate with families and recommend additional transmission control protocols for your child’s classroom.
If your child is positive or probable positive, they will be required to isolate for five days from the first day of symptoms. On days 6-10, your child may return to school wearing a mask. If your child is unable or unwilling to wear a mask, they will be required to isolate for 10 days.
A complete overview of COVID-19 protocols was presented at the August 8, 2022 board of education meeting. You can watch the video here and view the presentation here.
